Higher SSG Subsidies for WSQ Security Courses If You Are 40 or Above
Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above automatically qualify for higher subsidies on all SSG-funded WSQ security courses at Etann Academy. No separate application is needed. The Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES) is applied at the point of enrolment, reducing your BLU course fees to as low as $96 for the HSIS course and $118.50 for the PGPS and OBSE course.

SFEC gives qualifying Singapore companies a $10,000 credit to offset out-of-pocket WSQ training costs on top of the baseline SSG subsidy. The redesigned SFEC launches on 1 December 2026. Combined with course fee grants and Absentee Payroll, eligible SMEs may achieve near-zero net cost for WSQ security training.

Provide Trainee Details for TPGateway Registration
Share each trainee's full name, NRIC, and date of birth. Etann Academy registers them on TPGateway (SSG's training portal) and confirms the exact SSG grant amounts per profile.
Pay the Net WSQ Course Fee
We invoice at the subsidised net fee only. The SSG grant is already deducted. Payment before the course start date confirms your seats at Etann Academy.
Staff Attend and Pass the POLWEL Assessment
Trainees need at least 75% attendance and must pass the POLWEL assessment to receive their WSQ Statement of Attainment and retain SSG funding. This also fulfils PLRD licensing and PWM requirements.
Claim Absentee Payroll via GoBusiness EPJS
After course completion, SSG sends your company an email notification. Log in to EPJS on GoBusiness using Corppass and submit your Absentee Payroll declaration. SSG disburses via PayNow.
E-Attendance via Singpass Mandatory for All SSG-Funded WSQ Security Courses
From 1 October 2023, all learners at SSG-funded WSQ security courses in Singapore must record attendance digitally through the Singpass app at every session. Missing a scan means that session is not counted toward your 75% attendance requirement which affects both your SkillsFuture funding eligibility and your PLRD licence pathway.

Confirm and Screenshot
Tap Approve in your Singpass app to confirm. You will receive a confirmation message. Screenshot it as backup proof of attendance.
